From 12 to 15 December 2024, Design Milestone Edition 1 made its debut with extraordinary ambition, transforming Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan, Kolkata, into a 1,25,000 sq. ft. destination for luxury architecture, interiors and design.
Conceived by Deep Gupta and Seema Gupta, founders of Media Milestone, the inaugural edition announced that Kolkata was ready for something the country hadn’t seen before. East India’s first luxury design show had arrived.
The response was nothing short of phenomenal. With Livingetc India as the Networking Partner, India Today HOME as the Media Partner, and IIID Kolkata Chapter as the Knowledge Partner, the event brought together some of the industry’s most influential voices under one roof.
As Founder and Curator Deep Gupta puts it: “There could be no better city to begin this journey than Aamar Kolkata. A city that doesn’t just preserve history. It questions it, reinvents it and turns it into a milestone.”
From the very beginning, Design Milestone has been shaped by some of India’s most respected names in architecture and interiors. Their mentorship has helped turn an ambitious idea into one of the country’s most influential luxury design platforms.
Speaking about the vision behind the platform, Founder Seema Gupta says: “What began as an idea became East India’s first luxury design show. More than an exhibition, it became a meeting ground for architects, designers, brands, artisans, creators and conversations. Design Milestone was never meant to belong to one person. It belongs to an entire fraternity.”
Design Milestone has grown into a destination where India’s most celebrated architects, designers and creative minds come together under one roof. The platform has welcomed an extraordinary line-up of industry leaders, including Aanchal Bhuwalka, Amaresh Anand, Ameet Mirpuri, Aman Nath, Amit Porwal, Amrita Guha, Joya Nandurdikar, Aparna Kaushik, Eeshaan Kashyap, Ekta Parekh, Farah Agarwal, Faisal Manzur, Gowri Adappa, Husna Rahman, Madhav Raman, Mandana Karimi, Meena Murthy Kakkar, Vishal Kakkar, Pinakin Patel, Priyanka Khanna, Rudraksh Charan, Rahul Mistri, Rashi Bothra, Ruchi Gehani, Rohini Bagla, Rupande Shah, Sanchit Arora, Shivani Ajmera Gaglani, Veeram Shah, Vijay and Maha, and Vivek Gupta.
